Frequently Asked Questions

Is an objective definition the same as a note?

No. The Objective identifies the assigned work, the Objective Definition explains what that work means, and the Note provides information specific to the tree or job.

Where do the definitions come from?

The Works app displays the existing objective definitions configured in ArborNote.

Can crew members edit definitions from this view?

Definitions are available for viewing here. Changes must be made through the existing objective configuration in ArborNote.

Does this change the Work Order PDF?

No. This feature adds access to objective definitions within the Works app. Work Order PDFs remain unchanged.

What if an information icon or definition is missing?

Confirm that the tree or tag has an assigned objective and that a definition is configured for that objective in ArborNote. If you still need assistance, contact ArborNote Support and include:

  • Work order number and project name
  • Tree or tag number
  • Objective name
  • Works app version and device type
  • A screenshot showing the issue
