First, we need to open a project and we find ourselves in the map view. There are different ways to start a proposal on a desktop so let's go over each one.
Using the Polygon Tool:
- From within the map view, you will click the polygon tool located next to the search bar (looks like a hand with a finger pointing)
From here, we will be drawing a polygon shape using three points. Select your three points and it should look like this:
We have three points that are capturing 8 trees within the triangle. Another awesome thing you will see is that we unlocked the ability to create a proposal:
Using the Create Proposal Option With the 3-bar menu:
- After loading up your project you can click the 3-bar menu on the top left side of the screen to display multiple options.
Go ahead and look under the create section —> proposal and click that to open up a new proposal menu.
Now you should see the proposal menu over your map view, simple click the General Tree Care tab and start selecting the trees you wish to add to the proposal by checking them off:
Create a Proposal From the General Tree Care List menu:
- Start at the Map view and navigate over to the General Tree Care Tab:
Now that you are in the General Tree Care view, you can select which trees you want to add to your proposal by checking off the trees you wish to add:
Once you select some trees you will notice some new options will appear above the list. One of those options is to create a proposal: Go ahead and click on that and you are ready to go!
- Here you will be able to add trees, edit trees and recreate your proposal. Let's go over a couple of key features:
- First off, you can double-click on any existing tree to bring up the sidebar menu. From here you can individually edit each tree.
Another great way to edit is to highlight the trees you wish to edit and click the Edit Highlighted button:
Here you will get a pop-up menu where you can select the attribute you wish to edit and edit that attribute. For example, you can select the Objective on the bottom and add up to 3 objectives!
Forgot to add a tree? We have a new feature that allows you to view all your trees and select from that list to add. Simply click the show all checkmark box and the rest of your trees will be shown.
- Now you can checkmark which trees you want to add and after you add the trees you want to add, you can either continue to work or you can deselect the show all and only see the current trees for the proposal.
- Another new feature is the Update Inventory selector. By default this will always be on which means, all changes made within your proposal will be saved directly to your tree inventory.
- What if you do not want the changes to save and you just want to make a proposal with additions just for this one time? We have just the feature for you!
- Deselect the update inventory button and now all changes you make will only be saved for that one proposal!
Once we are happy with our proposal we will click the preview button:
A Proposal Preview will open. Review and Click Save in the top right corner.
Once you save the proposal you have some options. On the top left, you will see a PDF version will be created that includes the Proposal Details, General Tree Care Definitions, Map, Photos, and the Terms and Conditions page. In the middle will be an edit button if you need to return and make some quick changes and finally on the right will be an email proposal button:
- Click on the Plane icon in the top right corner to email the proposal and you are all set to get this proposal going!
